What an unforgettable week in Cardiff just two weeks ago, The Novellus Easter Bowl was a celebration of high-level British tennis, expert coaching insights, behind-the-scenes tips from the players, fantastic commentary and a whole raft of player-centred added extras. Livestreamed and broadcast by Top Tennis Training on YouTube, the event brought together eight players who left it all on the court. With a record number of marathon matches exceeding the 3 hour marker, the intensity was fuelled by the enticing rewards on offer for each victory.
And if that wasn’t enough to pique your interest in the Easter Bowl action, the Dingles Team Challenge added an extra layer of excitement. This wasn’t just elite tennis, it was a mix of fun, flair, and a bit of organised chaos, as our eight participants served up both top-tier rallies and non-stop entertainment.
Did you miss it? Don't worry, we are here to give you an overview of the action.
Our Novellus Easter Bowl Champion is...RYAN STORRIE!
It was incredible to watch Ryan Storrie pull out all the stops to win a 3-set battle against his fellow Dingles partner, friend, and training partner, Alexis Canter, in the Novellus Easter Bowl Final. A former ATP pro with a career-high ranking of 626, Storrie entered the event as one of the top seeds and showed exactly why. His ball striking, deft hand skills, and competitive edge were on full display, leaving viewers and fellow players alike in awe.
This same level of intensity was evident from both players earlier in the day, as Canter overcame 2nd seed Ewen Lumsden in a hard-hitting battle for territory which again passed the three mark. The win marked Canter's second victory over Lumsden on the Cardiff courts in as many months, after he prevailed in the UTR PTT event final just 6 weeks earlier. Storrie’s semi-final clash against top seed Finn Bass was no different, with both players coming out of the blocks strong, firing heavy groundstrokes, intermingled with excellent display's of tactical moves to close the net, keeping the viewers on the edge of their seats. Storrie ultimately gained the upper hand late in the second set, edging ahead 6-5 before Bass was forced to retire. The final day was symbolic of a hard fought, intense four days of competition and camaraderie amongst our eight players.

The Novellus Dingles Challenge
Four Teams, three Dingles matches, a lot of FUN. Leaving the Singles competition behind for an evening, The Progress Tour introduced a UK first live broadcast Dingles Challenge into the Novellus Easter Bowl week. Usually a favourite for players during practice, the Dingles Challenge offered a fun, but competitive opportunity for the players to add to their prize fund with £500 in HotelPlanner vouchers on offer. Find out how it went below!
