ITF MEN’S WORLD TENNIS TOUR COMING TO NORFOLK
Sports fans across East Anglia to witness world-class
tennis
Professional tennis is set to return to East Anglia next month
with the historic first staging of an ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour
event in Norfolk.
The Lexus GB Pro-Series Norwich tournament, to be held
between 27 October and 3 November at Easton College Tennis
Centre, will showcase top quality matches and on-site
activations aimed at inspiring the next generation of tennis
talent across the region.
Tournament Director Barry Fulcher, a former pro player from
Norfolk, said, “Having spent my junior years in Norwich, I’m
thrilled to be able to bring a professional tennis event of this
stature to the city. I hope the people of Norfolk and surrounding
areas get behind the event and enjoy the great level of tennis
on offer throughout the week.”
Spectators are welcome throughout the week at the $25,000
ITF indoor event, and semi-final and final tickets are

and a coach education workshop during the tournament
week, as 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams battle it out
for ATP Rankings points, prize money and the winner’s trophy.
The Head of Commercial Operations at the College, Matt
Breese, said, “It is a real coup for the college to secure an
event such as this, and off the back of the recent £1.8 million
investment in its sports facilities, the campus is aiming to
become a real hub of sporting excellence.”

About The Men's ITF World Tennis Tour
The ITF Men's World Tennis Tour provides entry-level
professional tennis tournaments and provides a pathway
between the ITF Junior World Tennis Tour and the elite levels of
men’s professional tennis. The results of ITF tournaments are
incorporated into the ATP Rankings, which enables
professionals to progress to the ATP Challenger Tour and ATP
Tour, and ultimately the Grand Slams. The Tour offers
approximately 550 tournaments across 70 countries and
incorporates two prize money levels of tournaments: $15,000
and $25,000.
About The Progress Tour
The Progress Tour is an independent series of tennis events
founded by Barry Fulcher in 2017. Events operate primarily in
the UK, but also in mainland Europe, Asia, Africa and North
America. The Progress Tour has paid out over £800,000 in
prize money to transitioning professional players and has
helped more than 50 players rise up to the main tours.
