Exciting new Under 12 National Circuit launches for 2021

London, United Kingdom, 18th March, 2021. - The Babolat Cup UK returns in 2021 with an exciting new format, offering increased competitive opportunities to under 12 players across the UK, in partnership with the Progress Tour. The high-level British under 12 tennis circuit aims to give young players a chance to battle their way through circuit events, earn circuit points, and climb a leader-board with the hopes of reaching the Masters event at Edgbaston Priory Club in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This exciting new format will see the champions taken on an incredible prize trip to the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.

The circuit events will be contested across five weekends from April to August, at multiple venues across the country each weekend. Unique to The Babolat Cup UK in 2021, the innovative circuit event format see's Day 1 opponents become Day 2 teammates, with an emphasis placed on player respect, team support and camaraderie. Teammates will support each other in their relevant shootout draws on day 2, with the highest achieving team being awarded Bonus Circuit points.

The top 15 boys and girls will qualify for the Masters upon completion of the circuit events, as well as 1 additional wild card place in each draw.

At the Masters, players will enjoy a first-class event, held in professional conditions, providing amazing prizes and an exciting Gala Evening with entertainment, special guests, and the latest product displayed. To top it all off, the Babolat Cup UK 2021 champions will be offered a world class tennis experience in partnership with The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, providing 1 week of training, flights and accommodation.

Progress Tour Director, Barry Fulcher, had the following to say, “Our objective is to provide a high-level 12U national circuit, for up-and-coming British juniors. We aim to build a community of players and parents, with events centred around sportsmanship and teamwork, and played in a competitive, supportive and inclusive environment.

Circuit Weekend 2 - May 15th & 16th - Various UK Locations

Circuit Weekend 3 - June 12th & 13th - Various UK Locations

Circuit Weekend 4 - July 17th & 18th - Various UK Locations

Circuit Weekend 5 - August 9th – 13th - Various UK Locations
