After a successful pilot event at Easton College in Norwich back in November 2022, The Progress Tour extends its partnership with Universal Tennis, bringing eight new Men's and Women's Pro Tennis Tour (PTT) events to the UK throughout 2023. Alongside our established Progress Tour calendar, our schedule of prize money events will see a total of $250,000 invested back in to the British Tennis landscape over the next twelve months.
The UTR Pro Tour Tour is a global tennis tour operating in more than 18 countries and across five continents, which has provided more than $20m in prize money to transitioning and current pros since its launch two years ago. The Progress Tour looks forward to further developing its offering to British Tennis players...
Looking Back on the first UTR Pro Tennis Tour on British Soil
Just a couple of months ago, twenty players came from far and wide to participate in the UK's first UTR Pro Tour event! The Progress Tour partnered with UTR to bring the event to the Easton Tennis Centre in Norwich, providing excellent earning opportunities for transitioning and current pro players from all over Europe.
With each player guaranteed 5 matches across seven days and a share of the $20,000 prize pot, competitors battled it out across the week in a fiercely competitive format, with 2nd seed Harry Wendelken being crowned Champion after a straight sets victory over Marshall Tutu in the final. The event also set out to engage with the local community, running junior and adult clinics through the week and attracting more than 200 spectators for our finals days showdown.
